This will take you about 5 minutes to make the evening before, giving you a ready-to-go healthy and nutritious breakfast in the morning. It’s also good as a refueling snack with a wealth of sustaining complex carbohydrates for sustained energy. Oats also contain gramine, a natural treatment to suppress anxiety, depression and insomnia.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need for the basic Overnight Oats:
1/2 banana mashed
1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon flaxseeds
Then, to make a BLUEBERRY-BANANA CASHEW CREAM topping, use:
1/2 banana (frozen if possible)
1/2 cup blueberries
1 medjool date
2 tablespoons cashew nuts (or substitute)
2-4 tablespoons of water/ dairy free milk
