For this last step you can use a bag strainer or a fine sieve. Using a sieve is easier, but a nut milk bag strainer will help you get the most out of the almonds and other ingredients.
Step 3: Strain the almond milk through a bag strainer, or through a fine sieve, into your original bowl or another large container.
Once all of the almond milk has been drained, remove the pulp before adding more milk to be strained. You can use a large spoon to press the almond pulp into the sieve and get more of the milk.
Your homemade almond milk will stay fresh in the fridge for a week or so. Make sure you stir the almond milk every time you use it in your favorite recipes and smoothies … or just drink it straight as a substitute for regular milk!
