  1. I am trying this tomorrow! My question is, how long can they stay in the fridge? I would like to make more than 1 at a time, but wasn’t sure how good it would stay for more than a day?

  2. I do this all the time. I’m in the military as a medic and don’t always have time to get breakfast, especially when I’m doing medical coverage. I’m also a breastfeeding mother, so this helps my supply and gives me something nutritious to eat on the go.

  3. No the oats are not cooked. When you put them with the milk and yogurt it plumps them up. You can heat it in the morning if you want to. I use steel cut oats instead of normal oats. And eat them right out of the jar with a spoon. Stir if you want to. I actually use BPA free plastic containers instead of jars.

  4. Depending on the ripness of your fruit they will last 4-5 days in the fridge. It is important to shake them up after you add teh oats, milk, and yogurt and chia seeds. Then add the toppings. Other wise the oates don’t soak up everything well and it it isn’t as smooth.

  5. I tried this the other night and it was great!! I put oats, milk, protein, bananas, peanut butter and Greek yogart with some almonds and loved it!! It was mushy but tasted like banana nut bread. Ejay Buford

  6. I told u long ago to stop name calling and I only use words that you use against me to prove point. Like I said Im different in person and I can be a gentleman. That is what I deserve a chance to prove myself. But you just have stubborn control issues that I cant deal with.

  7. Well at this point t it doesn’t matter. I am so not worried about it. I personally think Americans are super paranoid. Our grandparents have lived into their 80’s and 90’s on totally unregulated food, chemicals and they smoked. I think I will live.

  8. Hi Ejay, did you ever try this? If so how was it and did you change any ingredients? Looks like a healthy breakfast!

  9. So are these quick-cook oats, rolled oats…etc.? I would like to try this, but don’t particularly know what kind of oats I should purchase. Thank you for your time!

  10. Chop up an apple, an orange, a banana. Put them in a bowl with a vanilla yogurt cup, a splash of orange juice and a cup of oatmeal. Stir and cover the bowl. Then put in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning you have what my sons used to call “barf”. It’s a good healthy breakfast.

    Thought y’all might like this!

  12. Old fashioned oats. I heard quick cook oats comes out gluey. I like to use steel cut oats and microwave it for 3-4 min then put the lid on my mason jar and put it in the fridge for in the morning. But I only cook steel cut oats not the old fashion oats.

  13. I use steel cut oaks and they tirn out great overnight! I mix the oats with almond milk, let it sit overnight and then flavor in the morning!! Yummy! Taste like regular oatmeal but this is better for you.
