Quick & Healthy “PB&J OATMEAL” BREAKFAST-IN-A-MUG



This Breakfast-In-a-Mug is different and fun when you realize that there’s no reason to restrict the combination of peanut butter & jelly to just sandwiches for lunch. Enjoy a healthy Peanut Butter & Jelly Oatmeal Mug to kick start the day. It’s packed with protein, slow energy releasing carbs and some fruity sweetness for a wholesome breakfast.


Here are the ingredients you’ll need for each mug:

  • 3 tbsp rolled Oats (not quick or steel cut oats)
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp Nut milk (or regular milk)
  • 2 tsp peanut butter
  • 2 tsp Raspberry/ Strawberry Jelly (jam)

Follow these easy preparation instructions to make one or more healthy Peanut Butter & Jelly Oatmeal Mugs for breakfast:

  1. Whisk together all ingredients in a large microwave safe mug.

  2. Cook for 1 minute, then stop the stir. Cook again for another 1 minute stir and continue cooking until done. This stirring will stop it overheating and spilling over in your microwave. It will take roughly 3 minutes to cook in total

  3. Take out and add a little milk if desired.

  4. Top with raspberry or strawberry jelly and enjoy!!!

Note:
If you’re rushed in the morning, then do Step 1 in advance (e.g., the night before) and store in the fridge until you’re ready to microwave and enjoy.
