The extra ingredients for this tasty version of Lemonade are strawberries and fresh rosemary:
Strawberry Rosemary Lemonade
1 cup lemon juice, freshly-squeezed
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup water
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
3 cups water
After juicing the lemons (6 lemons yield about 1 cup of juice), follow these steps:
- Using a mortar and pestle or back of a spoon, bruise rosemary sprigs so they release their aroma
- In a small saucepan, heat water, sugar AND fresh rosemary sprigs until sugar has dissolved completely.
- Allow mixture to cool.
- In a blender, puree strawberries and rosemary-infused simple syrup.
- Mix lemon juice, strawberry puree and water in a pitcher.
- Garnish with lemon slices and more rosemary.

Sparkling Basil Blueberry Lemonade
1 cup lemon juice, freshly-squeezed
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup water
1 cup blueberries (save a handful for garnish)
1 bunch of basil
3 cups sparkling water
After juicing the lemons (6 lemons yield about 1 cup of juice), follow these steps:
- In a small saucepan, heat water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved completely.
- Allow mixture to cool.
- In a blender, puree blueberry, basil and simple syrup.
- Run mixture through a sieve to remove blueberry skins.
- Mix lemon juice, blueberry puree and water in a pitcher.
- Garnish with lemon slices, blueberries and a few basil leaves.
