Always Popular CINNAMON CHOCOLATE BREAKFAST MUFFINS



These delicious Cinnamon Chocolate Muffins are perfect for breakfast, brunch or just healthy snacking. Simple and satisfying. Since a small batch of these popular treats is never enough, here are the ingredients you’ll need for a double batch of 24 muffins:

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oil
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups chocolate chips
1/4 cup sugar
1 heaping teaspoon ground cinnamon

Follow these simple steps to make a batch of popular Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodle Muffins:

1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

2. Line 2 standard 12-cup muffin tins with paper liners.

3. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

4. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine brown sugar and oil. Mix until combined. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla.

5. Add dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, and mix just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Divide batter into the pans to make 24 muffins.

6. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon. Sprinkle a scant teaspoon over each muffin.

7. Bake muffins in preheated oven for 18-22 minutes until puffy, golden and cooked through. Remove from oven and cool completely.
