Healthy Dressed-Up Melon Treat



Here’s something healthy and creative to do with that cantaloupe melon that you’d otherwise just eat with a little bit of salt to enhance the flavor. Make a healthier, gluten-free snack with extra protein that will also curb your appetite for hours.


Just take a medium-size cantaloupe, scoop out the seeds and pulp, and fill with cottage cheese and a couple of other healthy ingredients. Each one of these servings provides 30 grams of protein from the cottage cheese: primarily casein protein that digests slowly in the stomach to keep you full for hours.


This delicious creation is also packed with vitamins B and C as well as beta-carotene that helps to maintain a healthy complexion.


Here are the recommended ingredients:

1/2 medium cantaloupe
1 cup cottage cheese
1 tablespoon walnut pieces
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
