Since peanuts (and peanut butter) can be difficult to digest for some people, it makes sense to substitute a different kind of nut butter for the peanut butter in your favorite recipes, or as a spread in your sandwiches. This popular homemade Roasted Salted Almond Butter with flaxseed is a delicious alternative! (Note that you can also use cashews to replace the almonds in this recipe, if you want.)

What’s the the big problem with peanuts?

Peanuts are not a nut, but in fact, a legume, hence the reason they can be so difficult for our body to process.
