Delicious Sugarless Whole-Wheat Banana Bread

 
This moist and delicious Whole-Wheat Banana Bread makes a super-healthy breakfast treat. Unsweetened applesauce replaces oil or butter. and the loaf is sweetened with honey instead of refined sugar. For a boost of protein, spread with a tablespoon of peanut butter before eating!

Grab the following ingredients to make one loaf:
 

6 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
3 large ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups white whole-wheat flour

Now just follow these easy preparation steps:
 
 

1. Heat oven to 325°F. Grease an 8-by-4 inch loaf pan.

2. In a large bowl, combine the applesauce, honey, and brown sugar. Add the eggs and beat well. Stir in the mashed bananas and almond milk. Add the baking soda, vanilla extract, and cinnamon and stir.

3. Gradually fold the flour into the banana mixture until just combined (do not overmix).

4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean, 50-60 minutes. Cover the top with foil if it begins to brown too quickly.

5. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
