3 Luscious SMOOTHIES with Almond Milk and a Banana



These popular, delicious and nutritious Smoothies are also fun & colorful … pick a color, any color, as long as it’s the deep green of kale, the bright yellow of pineapple, the pretty purple of blackberries, or the magenta of beets! Choose one or more of these ingredients together with frozen banana chunks and cold almond milk) to make a luscious smoothie.


Tip: smoothies are a perfect creamy beverage meal to take on the road whenever you’re out and about!



If your color choice is deep green, then here are the ingredients you’ll need to make a large Kale, Pineapple and Almond Milk Smoothie

1 banana, sliced into chunks, frozen is ideal

1 heaping cup fresh pineapple chunks

1 giant handful of coarsely chopped kale leaves, center rib removed from the kale

1 cup cold Almond Milk

1 tablespoon honey (optional, but nice for added sweetness)

The preparation instructions are simple:

1. Remove kale leaves from their rough center stalk and coarsely chop.

2. In a blender, combine banana, pineapple, chopped kale leaves, almond milk, and honey (if using).

3. Blend until smooth and no big kale bits remain.

4. Add more almond milk if the smoothie is too thick for your taste.

5. Enjoy immediately.
