These popular “No-Cook” Energy Bars are quick and easy to make in less that 5 minutes! Cut them into any shape you want, and they taste great and can be stored for a long time. Compared to commercially available energy bars from the store, these homemade treats are much healthier with all-natural ingredients, and they’ll also save you money!
Energy bars are perfect for healthy snacking, especially before and after a workout to boost your energy and stamina as well as providing healthy nutrients.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make a batch of Homemade 3-Ingredient Energy Bars in only 5 minutes:
1 cup almonds
1 cup dates
1 cup unsweetened dried cherriesNote: You can substitute almonds and cherries with any nuts and dried fruits, but make sure to keep the dates. Dates act as a binder and sweeten your energy bar without adding any artificial sugar.
Here are the easy steps to make these delicious Healthy Homemade Energy Bars:
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
- Pulse a few times.
- Process for 30 seconds.
- TURN OFF AND UNPLUG the food processor. Scrape the edges of the bowl to make sure nothing is sticking.
- Process for 1-2 min continuously until a ball is formed.
- Place saran wrap on top of a cutting board.
- Put the ball on top of the saran wrap and press into a 8×8 inches disk with your hands.
- Wrap the disk and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Unwrap the disk and place on a cutting board.
- Cut into 16 squares, 8 long bars or roll into 32 small balls.
- Wrap each square/bar/ball individually and store in the fridge for 2-3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Nutritional information: Each 2 x 2-inch square (16 squares total) contains approximately 100 calories, 2g protein, 5g fat, 2g fiber, 15g carbs and 10g sugar.
