[Video] An Easy-to-Make CHERRY TART Breakfast (when using this Flaky Hack!)

How about a yummy Cherry Tart for breakfast with options to make it super-healthy and super-delicious. This is an easy recipe to serve 6 with only 275 calories per serving.

Cherries are, of course, the key ingredient … so you may want to splurge and get a jar of high-quality maraschino cherries candied in cherry syrup to make this!

You can choose to use whole wheat flour instead of regular white flour for extra flavor and nutrition. Note that this will just make the dough will be a little nuttier and rougher around the edges.

Another optional idea is to use orange vodka or something similar for part of the liquid in the dough. This “flaky hack” adds moisture, but doesn’t create gluten, and makes a tender, flakier crust!

Here are the basic ingredients you’ll need to make this delightful Cherry Tart:

6 ounces white whole wheat flour

1 teaspoon white sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

6 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch chunks

1/4 cup ice cold water

1 tablespoon ice cold orange vodka (optional)

1 cup cherry pie filling

2 teaspoons milk

2 tablespoons white sugar
