<li>1 cup vegan milk (soy, almond, coconut, hemp)</li>
<li>1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)</li>

Did you know that chia seeds have more omega 3’s than salmon, more potassium than bananas, more calcium than milk, and are loaded with antioxidants? Also, they have a long shelf life.<br />
</br><br />
Chia seeds have natural sugars, so they&#8217;re great ingredients for snacks and drinks that keep you from getting hungry. Here is the recipe for a delicious, easy-to-make and nutrient-packed chia drink that&#8217;s loaded with healthy fat and protein in addition to all of the chia nutrients.<br />
</br><br />
All you need is:<br />
</br></p>
<blockquote>

<li>
1 cup of the juice of your choice
</li>
<li>
1 cup water
</li>
<li>
3 TB chia seeds
</li>
</ul>
</blockquote>
<p></br><br />
In this short video, Genevieve tells you more and demonstrates the following steps to make a yummy chia seed drink:<br />

Warm your water, put in a cup and add your 3 TB of chia seeds. Stir well till the chia seeds are evenly dispersed and start to swell. Cover and put cup in the refrigerator. Let sit overnight.
</li>
<p></br></p>
<li>
The next day, get your cup out of the fridge. Your chia seeds should be blown up in size and totally gelatinous. Your “water” should now be a thick gel.
</li>
<p></br></p>
<li>
Mix 1 cup of your chia seed gel with 1 cup of the juice of your choice and mix well. This recipe serves 2.

Note that you can soak in (warm) fruit juice instead of water if you wish.  Warm juice or water is needed to help hydrate the coating on the seeds so they don&#8217;t clump. Stir well to avoid clumping!<br />

The basic ingredients for overnight oatmeal are:<br />

These Peanut Butter Chia Energy Bars are healthier and more enjoyable than any other granola energy bar you can find at your local supermarket. And they&#8217;ll take you less than 5 minutes to make!<br />
</br><br />
Just be sure to use powdered peanut butter (&#8220;PB2&#8221;), either normal or chocolate-flavored, instead of real peanut butter in the recipe.</p>
<blockquote><p>Each bar has about 3 grams of sugar (1 gram if you use original PB2) and 5.5 grams of protein, not to mention all the benefits of chia seeds. And they just taste like chocolate peanut butter.</p></blockquote>
<p><em>Here are the ingredients you&#8217;ll need to make 2 of these <strong>Peanut Butter Chia Energy Bars:</strong></em></p>
<blockquote><p>2.5 tablespoons PB2 (chocolate or original)<br />
2 tablespoons chia seed<br />
1 tablespoon water<br />
3 drops vanilla extract<br />
½ teaspoon honey<br />
1 tablespoon chopped almond</p></blockquote>

Here is another one of my favorite &#8220;overnight oatmeal&#8221; recipes that only takes 5 minutes to make in the evening before heading for bed. When you get up in the morning, it&#8217;s ready to eat so you&#8217;ll have a delicious and nutritious breakfast.<br />
</br><br />
The basic ingredients for overnight oatmeal are:</p>
<blockquote>
<ul id="zlrecipe-ingredients-list">
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-1" class="ingredient">1/3 cup rolled oats</li>
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-2" class="ingredient">1 tbsp chia seeds</li>
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-3" class="ingredient">¼ cup Greek yogurt</li>
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-4" class="ingredient">¼ cup almond milk (soy, hemp, rice or dairy work, too)</li>
</ul>

<p>Then add these extra ingredients for this special <em><strong>Blueberry Lemon</strong></em> version:</p>
