Here is a popular <strong><em>fruit &amp; vegetable smoothie</em></strong> recipe that works well for breakfast or as a post-workout snack. The peaches and pineapple add just enough sweetness to make this green smoothie really delicious.<br />

Since it is quick and simple to make, it&#8217;s perfect for a quick breakfast or something healthy to drink later in the day.<br />
</br><br />
Just throw all of these ingredients into the blender with 2 scoops of your favorite (vanilla) <strong>protein</strong> powder:<br />

Here is another one of my favorite &#8220;overnight oatmeal&#8221; recipes that only takes about 5 minutes to make in the evening before heading for bed. When you get up in the morning, it&#8217;s ready to eat so you&#8217;ll have a delicious and nutritious breakfast.<br />
</br><br />
The basic ingredients for the basic overnight oatmeal are:</p>
<blockquote>
<ul id="zlrecipe-ingredients-list">
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-1" class="ingredient">1/3 cup rolled oats</li>
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-2" class="ingredient">1 tbsp chia seeds</li>
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-3" class="ingredient">¼ cup Greek yogurt</li>
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-4" class="ingredient">¼ cup almond milk (soy, hemp, rice or dairy work, too)</li>
</ul>
</blockquote>
<p>Then add these extra ingredients for this special <em><strong>Chocolate Strawberry</strong></em> version:</p>

<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-21" class="ingredient">1 tbsp honey</li>
<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-22" class="ingredient">1 tsp cocoa powder</li>

<li id="zlrecipe-ingredient-24" class="ingredient">¼ cup strawberries, hulled and sliced</li>

This delicious <strong>Early Morning Wake-Up Smoothie</strong> is packed with healthy goodness: almond milk, peanut butter, cinnamon and a frozen banana. You can always add and substitute to include different flavors and adjust the creaminess.<br />
</br><br />
For a single serving you&#8217;ll need to dump the following ingredients into a blender:</p>
<blockquote><p>about 8 ice cubes</p>
<p>1/2 frozen banana (I like to freeze them in 1” chunks)</p>
<p>1  1/2  cups unsweetened almond milk</p>
<p>1 tbsp. all natural peanut butter</p>
<p>1/2 tbsp. all natural almond butter</p>
<p>a sprinkle of cinnamon</p></blockquote>
<h4>Blending tips:</h4>
<blockquote><p>If you have an ice crusher setting use that first to help break up the ice and frozen banana.  I pulse it on ice crusher for about 10 seconds.  Then I let it whirl on high for about another 10 seconds.  (Obviously times will vary based on your blender).</p></blockquote>
