When Sarah discovered that it&#8217;s not easy to find a low sugar, high protein granola bar, she decided to create this special recipe and a video along with it. The result is a perfect  3:1 carb to protein ratio granola bar that&#8217;s not too heavy, and just sweet enough. This is what you should consume after a serious workout. Also good as a snack on the go and for breakfast.<br />

<em><strong>Tip 1:</strong> Eliminate the almond meal if you want crunchier granola bars.</em><br />
</br><br />
Here are the ingredients to make 8-10 of Sarah&#8217;s <strong>Gluten Free, High Protein Granola Bars</strong>:<br />

<li>1/2 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (may use regular milk, coconut milk, soy milk)</li>
<li>2 tbsp Honey</li>
<li>1 medium Banana</li>
<li>1 1/2 cup of Old Fashioned Rolled Oats</li>
<li>1/2 cup Almond Meal</li>
<li>3 tbsp Coconut, shredded raw</li>
<li>2 tsp Cinnamon</li>
<li>2 servings Vanilla Protein Powder</li>
<li>1/4 cup Almonds</li>
<li>1/4 cup Golden Raisins</li>
</ul>

<p><em><strong>Tip 2:</strong> You may also want to try cranberries and walnuts, or cashews and chocolate instead of the almonds!</em><br />

<em><strong>Tip 3:</strong> You can make your own Almond Meal by grinding almonds in a food processor or using one of the following: nut meal, oat flour, whole wheat flour, buckwheat flour (gluten-free), amaranth flour (gluten-free), or simply plain white flour. </em><br />

<em><strong>Tip 4:</strong> Use maple syrup or agave nectar instead of honey if you like.</em><br />

This is more than just a smoothie &#8230; it&#8217;s a healthy <strong><em>Smoothie Bowl</em></strong> meal to eat for breakfast or lunch with a spoon instead of a straw. Each bite consists of a little bit of crunchy granola with a sampling of fresh fruit that will keep you energized for hours.<br />

At the grocery store look in the freezer section for frozen <strong><em>pitaya</em></strong> or <strong><em>dragon fruit puree</em></strong>. Dragon fruit puree has a mild taste and goes well with other fruits.</p>
<blockquote><p>It reminded me of a very mild kiwi and it made for a light, delicious, and gorgeously bright pink smoothie. I loved the smoothie so much, I couldn’t wait to make a smoothie bowl for breakfast the next day.</p></blockquote>
<p>Add some of your favorite protein powder to help replenish the protein, vitamins, and minerals in your body.<br />

<p>Here&#8217;s what you need to make this <em><strong>Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl.</strong></em><br />

First, make the basic smoothie by combining these ingredients in a blender and blending until it&#8217;s smooth. Add a half-scoop of your favorite protein powder to enhance the protein content and replace the mango with a large banana, if you like:<br />

<p>Now just follow these 4 easy steps to make the basic&nbsp;<strong>Gourmet Granola:</strong><br />

1. Preheat over to 350°F.</p>
<p>2. In a small saucepan over low-medium heat, whisk oil and honey together.</p>
<p>3. In a large bowl combine oats, almonds, coconut, and sea salt.</p>
<p>4. Pour oil and honey mixture over dry ingredients and stir very well to coat. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes; remove from oven and stir. Place back in oven but remove and stir every 5 minutes or so until the oats are golden brown (approx. 25-30 minutes).</p></blockquote>

<p>Only 6 easy steps to make these delicious and healthy<strong>&nbsp;No-Bake Granola Bars:</strong><br />

<blockquote><p>1) In a saucepan over low heat, combine peanut butter and honey. Stir until melted.</p>
<p>2) Add oats and other mix-ins and stir to combine.</p>
